Microgreens are tiny leafed vegetables that are grown from organic seed. Microgreens are not sprouts but simply young vegetables grown from plant seeds such as beets, broccoli, Chinese cabbage, kohlrabi, mustards, or radishes, then harvested when about two to four inches tall.
Each type of microgreen plant has a different flavor and appearance. For example, broccoli has a mild taste perfect for any salad. Chard and Beet have a red color that stands out in salads. Mustards and radishes have spicy to hot taste...great for sandwiches and wraps.
We grow hydroponically or with organic soil using state-of-the-art techniques in a climate controlled growing facility all year long. Only top quality seeds, most certified organic, are sown on a sterile growing medium or on high quality organic soil using only natural kelp and fish nutrients.

A portion of our Utica, NY facility has been dedicated to the production of organic veggies and wheatgrass.

Microgreens have been popular for several years with upscale restaurants. The TV Food Networks regularly feature them in their programs. The general public is quickly becoming aware of their many uses in salads, sandwiches and wraps, and as garnishes for soups and entrees.
Proceeds from the sales of microgreens and heirloom veggies such as cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, snow peas, Blue Lake beans, and herbs help off-set the ever increasing costs of operating our program that assists homeless young men get their lives back on track.
Our young men work the operation and learn valuable life and job skills.
